Welcome to a Life Changing Period

Charity

Do you know that 70% of women and young girls don't have excess to sanitary products in Balochistan a province in Pakistan. It's the biggest province compared to an area with little or no facilities.

Let me tell you a story about how I started. I was on vacation with my husband and daughter in Balochistan where my husband's family lives. so one day I was just fixing my bag while my sister in law helping me. She was shocked to see a tampon in my luggage and asked me what is it. I explained about it and asked her what she use during this painful time?

Period is a painful time for most of us. Some have pain, some have nausea, some have cramps, some even cry for help. Most women are disgusted by their own blood. YES, it is the worst time of the month. But for the women and girls of Balochistan, it's a disaster.

During the Menstrual cycle, women use used clothes. They cut the clothes into pieces and fold it and put it inside panty which are sometimes available and to some not available. which are not only uncomfortable but also makes it difficult to do their daily chores like fetching water and wood for cooking. pads are available in only few shops in villages which are a way too expensive to buy and 70% women's cant afford it.

When I was on vacation we used to travel from one area to another which used to take 2 to 3 hours and no toilets to change till you reach your destination. I was lucky to use tampoons but what about those who use cloth pieces? Does she carry her pieces with her and carry dirty pieces back home to wash?

It's harder for young girls as they stop going to school and missing their classes as they have to walk a few miles. Not only this it gets harder on days when they don't have water to wash their used clothes for the next day. Using an unhygienic cloth for a long period of time creates bacteria and fungus. which is the reason for 80% of maternal death in Balochistan according to the Maternal Mortality survey done by the National Institute of Population Studies, in Islamabad.

Our strategy is to help those women like you and me grow confident, happy, and healthy. Let's work together and help those in need.

BUY TO GIVE

As promised we will be giving 1 menstrual cup to women in need each time you buy from us. Not only this you can also donate cotton reusable pads for young girls which are available only for donation in the product section. I know you will say why you don't donate small cups for young girls? In our culture young girls don't use products as they are scared to lose their verginity.

Let's help from a 'women to a women' and make this world a better place.

Thank you from me to you for helping me create this heaven, I can't do it without your help.

Kind Regards,

Shahnaz Umeed.
